We put 36 billion tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere in 2013 (new record) – Our remaining carbon budget is 120Gt – at this rate we will have used it up in about 30 years. For all the nice ‘patting ourselves on the back’ in New York, this week, climate chaos continues to speed up. Try to remain positive and optimistic if you can handle these realities.
