Three European Commissioners presented on 25 October a package of measures to stimulate "responsible business".  

It is remarkable to see how the Commission still frames this within the CSR (corporate social responsbility) and growth narrative and seems to have little knowledge of recent progress in thinking and practices on the role of businesses in a resource-constrained world.

If the Commissioners are really aiming at helping companies rebuild trust in business and capitalism, I suggest they read for instance the following piece: “What Business Should Do about Occupy Wall Street” from the Harvard Business Review Blog.
