“The European Commission is willing to meet with representatives of the ‘indignado’ anti-austerity movement, a contingent of whom have marched from Madrid to Brussels protesting a European Union they say places the interests of big business ahead of ordinary citizens” EUObserver has great article on Brussels anti-austerity protests – congratulations to commissioner Andor.

What those Indignados have done in Brussels brings up some questions. For more than One Milion of Euros damage! Already for months not to say more thatn a year, I also called for action and was glad something at last got going. But what those people did in the University buildings they were allowed to use for free defiles all description. In case you do not understand Dutch the pictures shall say it all.
Please do find more about it in:

Marcus,
I agree with your comments and regret these actions, but as you mention yourself in the article on your blog, it is unclear who was responsible for these actions.
That said, the damage the financial sector has done to our economy and people’s jobs is infinitely bigger than the damage done at the University buildings.
Revolts or revolutions will always have ugly pages.
The pictures of the indecent manners can be found at: http://marcusampe.wordpress.com/2011/10/19/verontwaardigd-over-indignados/
How shall we be able to defend such a damage at the Conference on Poverty European meeting this Friday?
